Goal Reached at Simsbury Republican Women's Club Scholarship Fund Raiser

If you happened to drive down West Mountain Road, past the home of Joe and Laura Patrina on February 16th you would have noticed that there was a party in progress. The Simsbury Republican Women's Club was holding its scholarship fund raising gathering at a Valentine-Lincoln Day celebration. Joe and Laura, our fabulous hosts, invited all into the barn, where all were greeted with by a roaring fire in the lovely, large stone fireplace. Scrumptious food in abundance and donated by the gourmet cooks of the RTC was served.

Joe and his "Little House Band" set up on the stage where they royally entertained the crowd with original music by Joe himself. Energy and expertise galore were on display as the band played 2 sets of 11 numbers each to a hand clapping, foot stomping crowd.

Thank you to all who attended and made this a phenomenal success. The scholarship goal was reached and on June 4th, 2013 the Simsbury Republican Women's Club will award this scholarship to a graduating senior at Simsbury High School.
